Privacy Policy
What we collect when you contact us, why, and the rights you have.
Effective date:
1. Who we are
This website is run by DIGITAL INVENTO LTD (“Digital Invento”, “we”, “us”), registered in England and Wales under company number 15938104. Registered office: Lytchett House, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset, BH16 6FA, United Kingdom. Digital Invento has operated as a web development business since 2020; the limited company was incorporated in 2024.
We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at hello@digitalinvento.com, through our contact form, or by post at our registered office.
2. What we collect
We only collect personal information when you choose to contact us:
- Contact form: your name, email address, message, and, if you provide them, the service you are interested in and your website address.
- Email: your email address, your message, and anything else you choose to include.
We need your name, email address, and message to reply. Please do not send sensitive information or passwords.
When you visit the website or submit the form, our service providers also process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of your visit, to deliver the website, keep it secure, and filter spam.
3. How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, prepare a quote or proposal. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and on taking steps you have asked for before a contract.
- To deliver and support work if you hire us. We rely on our contract with you.
- To keep contractual, accounting, and business records if you become a client. We rely on our legal obligations and our legitimate interest in keeping proper records.
- To protect the website and our inbox from spam and abuse. We rely on our legitimate interests.
We do not send marketing emails, sell your information, or make automated decisions about you.
4. Who we share it with
We use service providers to run the website and handle enquiries. They process information on our behalf:
- Web3Forms receives contact-form submissions and forwards them to us by email. It uses its own providers for hosting, email delivery, and spam filtering. See the Web3Forms privacy policy.
- o3host, our email provider, stores and delivers the emails we send and receive, including enquiries.
- Vercel hosts the website. See the Vercel privacy policy.
If you hire us through Upwork, Upwork also processes your information under its own privacy policy. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
5. International transfers
Your information may be processed outside the United Kingdom:
- Our director works from Pakistan and reads and replies to enquiries there, as part of our own organisation.
- Web3Forms is based in India and uses providers in other regions. Its data processing terms apply the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to transfers from the UK.
- Vercel is based in the United States and states that it relies on the UK Extension to the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
- Our email provider may also process information outside the UK.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: we keep them for up to 12 months after our last meaningful contact with you, unless there is a good reason to keep them longer (for example, a dispute).
- Client records: we generally keep contractual, accounting, and business records for six years, or longer if the law requires.
- Copies held by Web3Forms: separately from our own practice, Web3Forms states that it may keep stored form submissions for up to three years. These copies are controlled by Web3Forms’ retention settings, so our 12-month period does not apply to them.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or transfer it to you or another organisation. You can also object to how we use it where we rely on legitimate interests.
To make a request, email hello@digitalinvento.com. We will respond within one month, and there is normally no fee. If you ask us to delete your information, we will delete what we hold and ask our service providers to delete their copies. We cannot guarantee when they will do so.
8. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we use your information, please contact us first at hello@digitalinvento.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
9. Cookies
This website does not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or similar technologies, so there is no cookie banner. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
10. Security
The website and contact form use encrypted (HTTPS) connections. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, but no method of sending or storing information online is completely secure.
11. Changes
We will publish any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date.
